Leceister city Striker Kelechi Iheanacho emerged March Premier league player of the month

Leceister city forward Kelechi Iheanacho has been officially named as the premier league player of the month. The highly inform  Nigerian superstar netted five times in 3 premier leagues for foxes in March.

Kelechi 24, football career has been rejuvenated under Leicester coach Rodgers and the attacking prowess of English man Vardy and Iheanacho have to enhance Leicester stability in the top four race.

Notably in March before the international break, Iheanacho brilliance against Manchester United in the FA cup Quarterfinal fire the foxes into the semi-final. The Nigerian striker recorded a brace in a 3-1 victory over united.

Iheanacho becomes the fourth Nigerian to win the prestigious award behind the highly decorated skillful skimmer Jayjay Okocha. Osaze Odewingie and Odion Ighalo have also won the individual award.

According to ESPN,  Harry Kane of Tottenham, Jesse lingard of West Ham and Riyad Mahrez of Manchester City competed with Iheanacho for the honor but it was the Nigerian International who won the award.

Leceister city midfielder and Nigerian born international Ndidi has poured encomium on Iheanacho and is proud of his latest achievement. This has generated reaction on social media with hundreds of credit to the Nigerian striker making other fellow Africans and particularly Nigerians proud in the football space.
